Shrimp Stir Fry with a KICK!
A super quick and easy dinner dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large wild caught shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp sesame oil no sesame oil, use olive oil
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 med yellow onion chopped
- 1 large yellow pepper chopped
- 1 large orange pepper chopped
Sauce
- 2 tbsp coco aminos
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sesame oil no sesame oil, use olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, add 1 tbsp of sesame oil and garlic, heat over medium heat until you can smell the aroma of the garlic, add ½ tsp of red pepper flakes; add chopped yellow/orange peppers and chopped onions. Sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add the shrimp and stir for another 2 minutes or until shrimp is opaque.
Sauce
- In a bowl, add the ingredients for the sauce and stir to combine. Add the sauce to the skillet w/shrimp and vegetables and turn the heat to medium to high and continue to stir in the sauce to coat the shrimp and vegetables for about 1 minute. Simmer for 2 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and marry with the other ingredients.
- Prepare your taste buds and serve immediately with your chosen side dishes.
